The Foundation
The project “Fondazione Marconi” started in 2004 with the aim of promoting and disseminating contemporary cultural and artistic activity in all its forms of expression. Born on the initiative of Giorgio Marconi, it continues the work begun in November 1965 with Studio Marconi.
The project “Fondazione Marconi” includes some important collections of artists of the 20th century such as Valerio Adami, Enrico Baj, Gianni Colombo, Sonia Delaunay, Lucio Del Pezzo, Bruno Di Bello, Lucio Fontana, Richard Hamilton, Hsiao Chin, Man Ray, Louise Nevelson, Giulio Paolini, Gianfranco Pardi, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Mimmo Rotella, Mario Schifano, Aldo Spoldi, Emilio Tadini, Joe Tilson and Giuseppe Uncini.
The Foundation's headquarters, in via Tadino 15, occupies an exhibition space of about 1000 square meters arranged on 4 levels, completely renovated and enlarged in 2015.
Exhibitions
The website introduces the Foundation's exhibitions, presented through the press release and a large photographic set.
Artists
The site introduces all the artists who have taken part in the life of the Studio and the Marconi Foundation, with a selection of works.
Moving images
A peculiarity of the site is the possibility to enlarge several images at the same time: the selected photos open in pop-up windows that can be moved freely in the navigation window.
Art is the protagonist
With the simple but effective pop-up image system, the user can compare multiple works by moving and juxtaposing them with maximum freedom. The works are the real protagonists of the site.
