The Aldo Mondino Archive conducts research on the life and works of the artist from Turin, in order to protect and promote the results of his intense artistic activity.
For the purpose of organizing the Catalogue Raisonné, it is proposed to document in an exhaustive way the work of the artist by collecting, studying and preserving all the information and documentary material relating to the works of the author and his biography.
By collaborating directly with the daily management of the archive, we have deepened our knowledge of this reality and we have been able to support the work of its staff by optimizing the functionality of the database and developing new sections as needed.

Archival materials
The materials of an archive consist only to a small extent of paper documents with clear information and clearly legible dates: more often newspaper clippings, photographs of exhibition openings, polaroid of works sold or given away, magazines announcing an exhibition or an auction, exhibition posters, publications of various types, postcards and personal correspondence emerge from the artist’s studies, as well as first and rudimentary paper cards containing data and details of some works.

One tool, a thousand resources
The digital archive of Aldo Mondino's work is able to adapt to the different types of users who consult it, offering different formats for entering the data dedicated to the different members of the staff: printouts of reports, worksheets and lists (also in different languages) for collectors and scholars who request it, simplified search forms for external collaborators (gallery owners, publishers, etc...) who need to consult the data.
New features
From the "primary" setting of the database, oriented to the basic function of storing data, we have now passed to an articulated and complete management tool, able to update also the website of the archive, to export or print different types of documents, to produce certificates of authenticity and even to send electronic invoices.

General catalogue, volume 1
Published in 2017 by the publisher Allemandi, the first volume of the general catalogue was created starting from the study and cataloguing of Mondino's works carried out by the Archive through the management developed with us. It is divided into 24 chapters that take up the macro-themes explored by Mondino from his debut in 1959 until his death in 2005, and includes more than 1600 works.
