The creative environment of the great Milanese architect is characterized by a fertile production of drawings and paintings on the most diverse paper supports. Cardboards, glossy papers, collages, tissue paper and drawing paper, in different formats bear witness to the reflections on the architectural projects carried out.
All the materials collected by the heirs have been photographed and digitized in order to create a precise catalogue.
This relational database is a tool that guarantees the Aldo Rossi Foundation scholars the possibility to create links and references between these works and the many architectural and design achievements.

The renewed Digital Archive
In 2024 the Foundation needed to update its digital archive, both to keep up with the most updated operating systems and to introduce some new features. The Claris FileMaker platform, with which the Archive was developed, offers flexibility and scalability: we therefore took care of completely overhauling the graphic interface, making it responsive and ready for use also on iPad, we optimized the connection with images and added the possibility of cataloging and grouping drawings based on the reference "project" and by Collection.
Finally, the printing function of the individual works was set up, both in list format and as a dossier.

The database created was a valuable support for the production of the book: Aldo Rossi Disegni, 2008 edited by Germano Celant.

The original interface for consulting and updating the Digital Archive
The interface of the Digital Archive was revised in 2024, with the database table windows being modified and enhanced to accommodate the addition of new information and to make their management much more intuitive and efficient. This allows users to access, view, and edit data with ease, without encountering unnecessary complexities.
