In September 2006, two years before his 70th birthday, Erich Lindenberg died suddenly in his Kreuzberg studio in Berlin. His vast work, divided mainly between Berlin and Munich, was in danger of being forgotten within a short period of time.
This was avoided thanks to the promise made at the time by fellow painter Mareen Koch to take care of her legacy in the future. In agreement with Erich’s brother Udo Lindenberg, he took over the bequest and placed the collection in the Erich Lindenberg Art Foundation.
The Erich Lindenberg Art Foundation, founded by Mareen Koch in May 2008, aims to develop and scientifically analyse, preserve and present to the public the works of the late German artist. The archive and the legacy, based in Porza, is curated and managed by Tiziana Lotti Tramezzani.

One database, two collections
The Foundation's management software makes it possible to manage both the archive of Erich Lindenberg's works and the works and events it manages at the Villa Pia Museum.

All graphic materials accompanying works and exhibitions are always easily accessible and searchable through zoom and magnification functions.
An always up-to-date calendar
The administrable website www.fondazionelinceberg.org is a "newspaper" providing a complete and exhaustive overview of the exhibitions and the many cultural events that the Foundation regularly organises.
A complete documentation
For each event or exhibition, the site collects several multimedia materials: press release, image gallery, video content and PDF files of the materials available from the press review of the event.
