The Baruchello Foundation was founded in 1998 by Gianfranco Baruchello and Carla Subrizi. It is the result of the donation that Baruchello, after forty years of activity as an artist, has placed at the base of a cultural enterprise destined to support and experiment with contemporary art.

Since the early 1960s Gianfranco Baruchello (Livorno, 1924) has developed one of the most experimental artistic practices on the Italian scene, exploring painting, installation, assembly, film, photography and sound, and expanding visual research far beyond the traditional linguistic fields, working with the tools of agriculture, anthropology and economics as forms of critical analysis of consumer society.

The archive of the artworks

The precise cataloguing of Gianfranco Baruchello's work is carried out with the support of a management solution created keeping in mind the specificities of his work.

In detail

You can record analytical information about each work (dimensions divided into individual fields, annotations organized chronologically, data in two languages: Italian and English) and group the works into macro-groups, according to the prevailing artistic medium or category.

Exhibitions

An essential tool for reconstructing the history not only of the artist but also of all his work, is the scheduling of the exhibitions and the possibility of linking them to the exhibited works.

The bibliographical survey

As with exhibitions, an analytical cataloguing is also required for the bibliography, in order to associate with each work the specific references that appear not only in art catalogues, but also in newspaper articles, brochures and even websites.

Drafting rules

For the correct generation of complete bibliographical lists it is necessary to define editorial rules, which differ from publisher to publisher and according to the type of publication being surveyed. It is not necessary to rewrite the captions every time the rules change: each bibliographic sheet allows you to indicate whether it is a monograph, a catalogue, a journal article, etc... and the management automatically compiles the correct bibliographic caption for the print and export formats, according to the editorial rules defined in this section.
