AI and blockchain in the service of art

On Thursday 5 June in Lugano, we will be a partner of the event SwissLedger - Art Edition. AI and Blockchain at the service of art.

This event is designed for artists' archives, artists, curators, collectors, art advisors, law firms and digital companies, with the aim of exploring new digital solutions and deepening the way in which information technologies can flank, support and simplify the daily activities of those working in the art world with innovative tools.

Through practical workshops, talks and thematic panels, the technological, artistic and legal implications of the certification and valorisation of works of art through blockchain will be addressed, with a focus on the SwissLedger platform, the institutional blockchain infrastructure promoted by the City of Lugano, of which OFFICINEBIT is a partner.

The event, which will be held at the Asilo Ciani, will take place in two complementary blocks: in the morning (10:30-12:30) participants will be able to engage in a workshop entitled "Eternity Wallet: a work, forever", which will consist of a practical demonstration of the application of SwissLedger for the digital certification of works of art.

The afternoon, starting at 14:00, will offer a series of talks on the following topics:

  • "Blockchain and Art Certification", in which the exploration of the benefits of blockchain technology for the art world will continue

  • "Art and tokenization", to explore aspects of copyright protection and legal implications

  • "AI and the Digital Humanities", a discussion between two renowned academics on the boundaries of artificial intelligence in the Digital Humanities.

The event will end at 6.30 p.m. with an aperitif that will also be an excellent networking opportunity.

Participation is free of charge, after registration at the link: https://it.surveymonkey.com/r/H6F9YGZ, and it is possible to book the whole day or just a session between morning and afternoon.
